Wish Granted

Just a few days ago I posted the entry Summer is here!. 

I mentioned in the post - somewhat wishful thinking and most definitely was not a hint in any way, how I, as a newly converted beach bum longed for the beach so badly!

As the saying goes "Be careful what you wish for, it might just come true"

Which in my case, *dramatic pause*

Off to Krabi in a few days!

Krabi is located in South Thailand, it is less developed than its neighbouring Phuket. My first time in Krabi itself, although I've been to Phi Phi before which is a part of Krabi Province.

You will find in Phi Phi the famous Maya Bay where parts of Leonardo di Caprio's movie "The Beach" was filmed in 1999. Though rumor has it that some of the beach scenes were actually filmed in The Philippines!

I am hoping that the weather is better this week. Southern Thailand was devastated by flood after 3 days of non-stop monsoon rain and storms just last week. Koh Samui airport was closed down and people in Koh Tao had to be airlifted off the island! 


The weather forecast below doesn't look too promising but I am keeping my fingers crossed! 

Enough rambling for now, it's time to pack my beach bag!
